Zendesk is a customer service platform that allows companies to respond to customer requests and manage customer tickets.
By activating the Tone x Zendesk Integration, all your Tone conversation and user data will be pulled into Zendesk, allowing you to manage your customer service conversations under one roof.
With this integration, you will be able to:
- Sync customer data from Tone to Zendesk
- View SMS conversations and messages directly in the Zendesk dashboard
Step 1. Head over to the Integrations page in the Tone app.
Go ahead and click ADD INTEGRATION on the Zendesk card. This will take you to the Zendesk details page where you will need to add the user email address + domain associated with your account and the Zendesk API key.
Step 2. In a new tab, open up your Zendesk dashboard, and go to Settings. (It's the cog icon.)
Step 3. On the Settings page, scroll down the sub side menu to Channels, and click API.
Step 4. On the API page, click the Add API Token button.
Step 5. In the Create new API token window, click the Copy button to copy the API. Then, paste the API into the Tone app field.
Make sure you fill in your User Email Address and Zendesk Domain. Then, click the ACTIVATE button, and you're all finished!
