The following message, and an additional unchecked checkbox, should be presented alongside the phone field where you are collecting numbers:

Advanced Opt-Out Recognition

Tone is the only SMS provider that recognizes unsubscribe intent without customers having to use specific keywords such as stop, cancel, unsubscribe, etc. For example, if a consumer replies with, “I really like your brand but don’t want any more texts,” Tone will remove them from the contact list right away. 

Tone's Advanced Opt-Out Recognition allows you to be certain that only the customers who wish to be contacted will. Who said compliance has to be hard!
