How do I set up my Opt-In Language?

To setup your Opt-In Language in your Shopify account, select Settings and then Checkout.

In the Customer Contact section, select "Customers can only check out using email" and select Save.
Note: this will separate email and phone fields at checkout, enabling us to text more people!

In the Form Options section, make the "Shipping address phone number" field Optional (to remain compliant with US and European regulations) and select Save.

Scroll down and select Manage Checkout Language.

In the Checkout Marketing section under Accept Marketing Checkbox Label, enter the following text:

"I agree to receive emails and recurring automated text messages at the email and the phone number provided. Consent is not a condition to purchase. Message & data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for help. View our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for details."

Tip: Using find - Ctrl+F (PC) or Command+F (Mac) - search "marketing" to quickly find this section for editing.

Then under Phone Label and Optional Phone Label, enter the following text:

"Phone - Receive recurring SMS support and promotions (msg. rates may apply)"

Tip: Using find - Ctrl+F (PC) or Command+F (Mac) - the fields are the 2nd & 3rd mention of "phone label" on this page.

Once you have entered this text, scroll back to the top of the page and click Save.

Go to your website checkout and make sure that your new opt-in messages appear under contact information and in the phone field!
